"The MAP3 on this system (mentioned earlier on the McIntosh C41 preamp) is really, really astonishing in its revelation of detail up and down the spectrum and its exactitude without being clinical in the higher notes and percussion.

The MAP3 is exceptional with percussion of all types: very quick and clean. Something I have experienced before, but not to this degree, is not only are the point sources very clean and well-articulated and very musical, not only is the sound stage very open extending beyond the physical speakers, but the vertical stratification and layering of the instrumentation and voices is really quite remarkable without over-playing its hand.

On this system the MAP3 is truly letting the Tannoys breathe and form the music and its phenomena effortlessly.  I have never heard the Tannoys present music this way. I am literally hearing some recordings for the first time." Ed
