A "unit" is one pair of cables or a single cable. IE, a pair of interconnects would be considered as one unit. A power cord would be considered as one unit.

Example: If you had a pair of speaker cables, a pair of interconnects, and a power cord for us to break-in, this would be considered a total of 3 units.
